Thank you for your interest in the Courses "Training for Qualification as European Patent Attorney".

Patskills began in 1987 with two-day opposition and legal courses that provided training in areas where not many candidates for the Qualifying Examination had an opportunity to gain sufficient experience in their everyday work : preparing a notice of opposition and dealing with complex legal problems.

The success of the first courses gave rise to a need for corresponding special training for the exam's drafting and amendment papers. The three-day drafting and amendment course inaugurated in 1992 aimed to help candidates relate their practical experience to what was required in the exam, and to develop techniques for the exam that would improve their performance on the job.

The  ABC/D comprehensive course inaugurated in October 2009 is designed for candidates who are embarking on their preparations for the EQE, to enable them to lay the foundations of effective exam preparation and enhance their professional performance on the job. This course builds on the underlying themes developed over the years for the specific courses, which are: representing clients interests as the basic task of European Patent Attorneys; relating the exam to everyday work, and vice versa; adopting a common approach to all papers of the exam; and encouraging the participants to learn by trial and error, and by correcting their errors.

Patskills Courses "Training for Qualification as European Patent Attorney" are held in Geneva in the period September - February (dates). The Geneva courses are held in a first-class hotel close to the airport, and there are excellent connections via EasyJet and other airlines. Exam preparation and general training courses are also run on request at other locations.
